You can give a man the death penalty for killing a cop with no evidence, but give a cop 2 years for killing a man with video footage of the murder.

This is such a tragedy. Beyond this, our justice system, our prison system, are tragedies. There are so many problems with how America treats “criminals” — from the length of time waiting for a trial (years and years in prison waiting to be proven guilty), to the racism and classism, to the private prison complex, the war on drugs, and the barbaric death penalty. It’s shameful. This country is not at all what it claims to be.
Sooo… the executioner is next, right? Because we kill people who kill people, right?
